I was hoping to have my new book crate ready today for my first Monday Made It. I went to the school today to print and laminate the bunting flags I made for it, and the printer was not working :(.
This is a preview of the book box. It started as unfinished wood.
Today I was able to finish the hallway bulletin board I was assigned. We are each given a bulletin board in our school to decorate once a year. I got an August board this year and last year. I went on Pinterest looking for ideas. I had a hard time finding a generic back to school board that wasn't focused on a specific class.
I found this cute board idea on Rainbows within Reach. I decided to have my board say We want to O-fish-ally welcome you back to school! I was limited with the paper colors at school but I think it turned out pretty cute. I also wanted to use a border I already had. I didn't have an ocean border, so I went with plain black.
The first board was mine. It was really long!
This is what is across from the board. This is the middle hallway in our Primary wing. This building is where our CD, 1st and 2nd grade classes are.
This is what the small hallway looks like. If you go straight through these doors and across the sidewalk, you enter the end of our main building.
This is what the board looked like last. I had to go back today to straighten the last line, add more fish, and add our faculty's names to the fish.
My mom came and helped me finish the board today. She enjoys doing bulletin boards and decorating.
Here is the finished product. It is not as cute as the things I normally do, but with everything packed in my old trailer, I just did the best that I could!
Thanks for stopping by to see what I made this week. Check back next week to see the finished book bin. Also, stop by my blog to see my post from yesterday. I won a giveaway from Creative Teaching Press and posted about it!
Bulletin board looks great! Can't wait to see what the finished box looks like! I am interested to see how you put the flags on it.
